25′000 Hits!!!

Hello!

About four months ago i was sat in my room surfing around the web and reading the various blogs that i subsribe too when i decided that i wanted to create something special. I wanted to create a place whereby people could come and not just read about music but also art or films or books. This idea was formulated through many other peoples great work. Dailysonic/Latitude Festival/Don’t Panic/Captain Obvious being the main offenders.

I then turned to one of my friends (Aaron) to start it up with me as i knew he would be the best person to take it to where it should be. I wasn’t wrong. I remember when we first started and we were excited when we got 50 visiters in one day, so getting 400 a day after three or so months is a bit of a mind bender.

Since we started we’ve become good friends with people all over the world including bands/musicians/artists/pr people/record labels/comedians and many many more. I used to be scared of opening my mail as i would get zillions of spam a day but now i get excited opening my mail as there’s always something exciting happening.

I’ll cut this extremely long story short. Me and Aaron would like to thank everyone that has visited our site, everyone that sends us emails/comments/messages, everyone thats joined us on Facebook/Myspace/Our Forums, everyone that agreed to interviews, everyone that has sent us promos or put us on guestlists, every band/artist that has sent us their music and everyone of our writers for the amazing work they do.

Usually we would post a video in celebration of reaching such a landmark but this time we have something way more special. For the last week or we’ve been putting together a two sided mixtape full of bands that we love but feel should be bigger. The mixtape is called ‘Music For Your Face 08′ and is entirely free. All we ask is that you give it a listen and if you like any of the bands send them a message saying so, or send us a message and we’ll pass it on.
