Hello!

Welcome back to another addition of Singles Roundup, whereby we have a look at some of the singles/EP’s that will be gracing your ears in the weeks to come!

This week we have three different singles/EP’s for you to get your brain boxes around! So without further adieu, lets get on with it!

First up is Kissing Kalina with their latest single ‘Here She Comes’ (through Honey Buzz 8th September). Kissing Kalina is the main project of singer/guitarist/producer Danny Sanchez but there’s no egotistical nonsense going on here but pure fuzzy sleaze pop. It’s very reminiscent of The Stooges but with the added addition of a female harmony.

Next up is Camp Actor with ‘Your Obsession’ (out Sept 8th 2008 through Shellshock) which is the latest single to be taken from their debut album ‘Warmer’. It’s not thta the song isn’t good, it’s certainly got it’s charms for a disco/electro song. It’s just not the greatest song that could have been taken from the album and after hearing the stunningly beautiful and warm ‘Towers Of London’ it’s hard to listen too because i know what they can do when at their best.

Last but not least is the latest EP from Russels Teapot called the ‘Desire EP’. My biggest critiscm of this record is that it sounds like five different bands fronted by the same guy. Which is a shame really because tracks like ‘Big Man’ which is a an extremely pretty (and quite twee) song but it’s bundled up against a pretty poor electronic song in the form of ‘Heavens gate’. Ditch the electro and he’s be onto a winner i think.
