We recently had a look at The Big Pink in our Radar series and we decided to continue the love fest by sharing with you a mini interview we had with the guys. Expect more from them on our site in the next few weeks!

Hello! How are you today?
Hey,  i'm pretty good.

Just in case our readers haven’t heard of you, could you explain who you are and what you do?
I am milo and I am one half of The Big Pink. I Like Philly cheese sandwhiches. Robbie the other is not here but he likes cheeseburgers .

Who are your main influences?
Cheeseburgers , girls , drugs , NYC , London , Berlin , books - dennis cooper , john fate , jean cocteau . films - platoon , the colour of pomegrantes , friends ,alcohol , girls , soul music .

How did your name come about?
We lifted it from an album by the band called Music From The Big Pink. It's a house they lived and recorded in.

Do you feel any pressure in being an unsigned band?
No. Not at all.

Could you explain what kind of process you go through with the writing of your songs?
Meet up , hang out , make tea, listen to a record that will inspire us. Watch youtube, talk about what we did last night .. then we get a synth or a guitar and put it through shit loads of cool pedals then we record it onto protools, listen back to it, chop stuff up, loop it, layer it, add drums, add guitar, through shit loads of pedals, add bass, probably with distortion, vocals.

What are your top five bands/artists/musicians of all time?
Sam Cooke
Otis Redding
Joe Tex
Velvet Underground
Iggy and The Stooges

If you could support any band in the world, who would they be and why?
GnR for all the obvious cliche reasons

What does 2009 have in store for you?
Hopefully our minds will be expanded!
