KINGS OF LEON'S CLIMB BACK TO THE TOP
Kings of Leon's album 'Only by the Night' has made been restored back on top of the UK album charts as a result of the BRITS. Hmmm...Must have been that sex on fire. Other artists who saw a rise in album sales include the Petshop boys, the Tings Tings and Duffy.
PETE DOHERTY - WILL THE BOY EVER LEARN?
Pete has released a music video for in new single 'Last of the English Roses' online. The title sounds so intimate, so quaint. However, the video features an inner city football match with yours truly plus a gay kiss at the end. It does not say whether that is Pete locking lips with a dude, but it needs to be said: this boy has a very interesting imagination. What would it be like to be in his head....
NIKE FOOTBALLERS v INNER CITY FOOTBALLERS

NEW ADAM GNADE RELEASE, ''ISLAND'S ISLANDS,'' OUT TODAY
ADAM GNADE
ISLAND'S ISLANDS
CASSETTE EP
(PUNCH DRUNK PRESS/RECORDS)
$10 (INCLUDES SHIPPING AND HANDLING)
"Island's Islands came about after talking to a friend of mine who's made a pretty good life for himself as a painter. No matter how well the guy does he refuses to mass-produce prints of his work. Everything he sells is an original; it's something he's made with his hands and it's something that, in all probability, he'll never see again once it sells--which I thought was kind of brave. Island's Island is a cassette release, limited to 100 copies. Each version will be recorded directly into my analog recorder onto that particular tape itself and each will feature different songs... new ones, covers, noise collages, revamps on old ones, whatever feels right at the time. Each tape will be its own original piece of music for whomever orders it. I've already recorded a couple of them and it feels pretty damn good." --Adam Gnade, 2/22/09, 1pm

She and Him WTF? (did you see what i did there?) "Well all right, it's okay. We all get the slips sometimes, every day." Wow, clearly Deschanel is the next Morrissey. I really like the new Laura Marling though. [view article]

Well I find them boring. What's the appeal? Is it the 'they toured with Los Campesinos! so therefore they're good' argument? As for the 'surely due to hit the big time' comment, I'm pretty sure I heard that at this exact time last year about that album. When is this hitting the 'big time' going to happen exactly?
