Written by The 405
Oh My Gosh, it's nearly the end of March. And here is the 405 news team with another addition of the latest news in media, art and entertainment. In today's roundup we have news about Kasabian, Bat for Lashes, The Global Gathering and Ice Age ( yes I am aware that none of you reading this are below the age of ten but I promise this is good news!). So keep on reading...
KASABIAN'S NEW SINGLE TO BE RELEASED FREE ON THEIR WEBSITE
On www.Kasabian.co.uk, Kasabian's new track 'Vlad the Impaler' is available as a download from the 31st of March for 4 days. This single is from their new album 'West Rider Pauper Lunatic Asylum'.
Lets hope the boys have a good comeback.
PRODIGY, ORBITAL AND PENDULUM ARE SOME OF THE BIG NAMES TO HEADLINE THE GLOBAL GATHERING
These are some of the big names to play at the festival on July 24 and 25 amongst Judge Jules, Eric Prydz, Utah Saints, Stanton Warriors and DJ Hype. This festival will take place Long Marston Airfield, Stratford - upon - Avon.

ICE AGE TO FEATURE THE VOICE OF SIMON PEGG
The British actor is to play the voice of new character Buck, a "larger than life, swashbuckling, one-eyed weasel". This third ' ice age' movie in the series sees Buck helping the old characters of Manny, Sid and Diego when they fall into the lost world beneath the Ice Age where dinosaurs still roam.
I am sure Pegg will only improve the overall standard of the movie.
BAT FOR LASHES IS TO MAKE A MUSICAL FANTASY FILM BASED ON THEIR CURRENT ALBUM ' FUR AND GOLD'
This has been confirmed by Brighton - born Natasha Khan, the band's songwriter. These plans for a musical are currently taking place in Los Angeles. At the moment, Khan has said that the script is looking amazing and has likened it to the 'Never - ending Story'. However, she does not know whether this script will become a reality as it all depends on the money needed to produce and maintain it. Well, I love them so I really hope that it does take place and then hopefully they tour in England.
Bat For Lashes second album, ‘Two Suns’, will be released on April 6th.

Schadenfreude. I think you've pretty much covered it in the last paragraph: when we're down, we search for culture which empathises; when we're up, we search for culture which makes us see the value and worth of our current 'positive' situation. Not everyone though: some people detest dark comedy, cynical people and skeptical views. [view article]
