Just like Oliver's mixtape recently, I have no theme for my mixtape... these are just a few of my favourite tracks knocking around on the hard drive. A mixture of Post Rock, Electronica, Math Rock & Ambient. Yes it's a bit post rock heavy but that's just how I like it.
Hopefully you'll find something awesome that you've never heard before.. Enjoy.
1. Talk Talk - New Grass (Early Post Rock? from this rather famous 80/90s band)
2. 65daysofstatic - AOD (A Fusion of Electronica & Post Rock from Sheffield's Finest)
3. Halves- Take Exact Revenge (Electronica/Post Rock from Ireland)
4. Bjork - Unravel (No introduction needed)
5. Hood - The World Touches Too Hard (Glitchy Ambience from Leeds)
6. The Shadow Project - All The Pretty Things (Upbeat Post Rock, Perfect for the forthcoming summer)
7. Leander - Hide and Sleep (Glitch Pop from Germany)
8. Moving Mountains - Alastika (Post Rock with Emo-ish Vox from this New York band, think Appleseed Cast)
9. Colour - Shamu (Amazing young Math Pop band from Surrey)
10. Scraps of Tape - Death As It Should Be (A heavy mix of math/post rock from Sweden)

That's a cool interview with some genuine sounding dudes. The quotes attributed to them at the top are genius! [view article]

I ask for a round two against the pills! I liked how the pill ladies are on screen during the bridge portion of the song. I guess nothing can stop us music lovers from hearing music. :) [view article]

Thanks for sharing! I really like the use of the tom toms and the harmonics on the guitar. Nice touches. It adds more dimension when appropriate. [view article]
