THE 405 SESSIONS: THE TWILIGHT SAD

In the early hours of the afternoon on Halloween, I met up with Glasgow's
Keeping in with the spirit of All Hallow's Eve, it would have been foolish to not take part in its festivities, no? So a pumpkin carving contest was an obvious choice to kick-start the evening following a chilled out afternoon. Being strictly judged on 'precision, originality and fear' , we got into teams and whipped the knives out. Unfortunately Team Twilight (we didn't call ourselves that at the time, I just came up with it and am aware it's ridiculous) was defeated by someone else who was probably in more of a sober state and managed to carve something much more complex and spooky. In fact we probably lost because quite frankly, ours was just too plain frightening. Or shit, one of the two. So I'll let you guys be the judge of the pumpkins!

In summary then: SERIOUSLY underwhelmed by new Marling after all the hype, I can see why Aaron hates Zooey Deschanel so much now and... I still maintain that Delphic are fucking awesome. No content (although actually that Gaga tune isn't all bad!) [view article]

Love the band (they were AWESOME at White Air...about the only band that were) and I dig how much he's gotten into answering the questions. And Duncan, Sky Larkin are not boring. Just because a band isn't thrust in the hyper-hyped over-saturated limelight within 6 months of their over-blogged first single doesn't mean they're not relevant! [view article]

In a world saturated with boring, stale, indie rock bands comes another boring, stale, indie rock band. I've heard about these guys 'breaking out' each of the past three years, can't we accept they're boring and move on already? [view article]
