FRANK TURNER - SONG FOR CHARITY...
October 21, 2008,
Written by Lewis Gibbs
Frank Turner of 'Million Dead' fame but a man of cult solo stardom in his own right, a man who has toured the UK more than most bands of today and whose powerful folk melodies abscond words deep from within his heart, has released a single of which the proceeds will go towards the Breast Cancer Campaign charity. The song, titled 'Long Live The Queen' is an emotional dedication to a friend, Lexi, who passed away through breast cancer last year. The single was released on the 20th October, and October being breast cancer awareness month, this song could not have been released at a more poignant moment.
There is a huge effort afoot to get 'Long Live The Queen' into the top 40 and if any song deserves to be there, well... You can download the track from any one of these sites at a cost from 79p to 99p -

That's a cool interview with some genuine sounding dudes. The quotes attributed to them at the top are genius! [view article]

I ask for a round two against the pills! I liked how the pill ladies are on screen during the bridge portion of the song. I guess nothing can stop us music lovers from hearing music. :) [view article]

Thanks for sharing! I really like the use of the tom toms and the harmonics on the guitar. Nice touches. It adds more dimension when appropriate. [view article]
