BEST COMEDY CHARACTER OF THE MOMENT

We've been going on for many years about Del Boy and Rodney, Basil Fawlty, Black Adder, and more recently, David Brent.
Is that all there is? Or is there someone new whom we can relate all our hilarious, annoying friends and situations to? Someone contemporary to be referred to for many decades come?
Who is the best comedy character of the moment?

Good shout, Danny. For me, my Dad is like Larry David. But Charlie from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is my current fave. And you can't discount Mark and Jeremy.
Rob
Dean Lerner/Thornton Reed.

I'd back up Charlie as well. Super Hans has been amazing for a while now too I think.
An honourable mention for the residents of the caravan from Cowards. They make the idea of living in that small a space pretty damn fun!

Dean Lerner/Thornton Reed is another bloody good shout actually.

Oh, and how could I forget Malcolm Tucker? I'd actually have him as my no.1

Alex and Helen (although mostly Alex) from Free Agents. More people should watch Free Agents, absolutely definitely.
Dylan Spicer
Leftfield, but Tiny Andrew Collins/
Benzil
Sir Digby Chicken Caesar maybe. The Crack Fox also strikes me as a memorable one.
Matt
Angelos Epithemiou on Shooting Stars is amazing
Rachel
Garth Marenghi, Howard Moon and any character played by Matt Berry.

That's a cool interview with some genuine sounding dudes. The quotes attributed to them at the top are genius! [view article]

I ask for a round two against the pills! I liked how the pill ladies are on screen during the bridge portion of the song. I guess nothing can stop us music lovers from hearing music. :) [view article]

Thanks for sharing! I really like the use of the tom toms and the harmonics on the guitar. Nice touches. It adds more dimension when appropriate. [view article]
