405tv Session: Deer Tick

John McCauley started Deer Tick as a solo project 8 years ago and the whole thing has sprouted into an acclaimed folk act with four full length albums and a hearty, devoted fanbase. The grit-filled, scratchy vocals and densely-packed, country-folk melodies have made for some interesting musical creations from the group over the last few years and we were lucky enough to spend some time with band with a camera in hand.

The guys performed a couple of makeshift outdoors tracks so damn well that a friendly canine got involved halfway through…
