Andrew WK becomes cultural ambassador to the Middle East
Update: Andrew WK will not be travelling to Bahrain as United States' Culture Ambassador to the Middle East, with a State Department spokesperson saying "the embassy determined that was probably not a best choice and didn't meet our standards." Oh well. [via Dcist]
Just in case you woke up and thought the world was a normal, logical place, we've just gotten word that Andrew WK is becoming the US Cultural Ambassador to The Middle East. He's due to visit Bahrain in December. In his own words, "I feel very privileged and humbled by the chance to represent the United States of America and show the good people of Bahrain the power of positive partying."
What his thoughts are on conflict in Gaza are will be announced shortly we presume.

SXSW Day 4
It was my last day at SXSW and I was going to make sure I would go out with a bang. Unfortunately, that bang involved me freezing my ass off all day.
