Artist Picks // Mausi
Daisy Finetto from Mausi is the latest musician to sit in the 405 'Artist Picks Hotseat', and if you're a fan of Nutella, you're gonna really dig this. We also have to agree that people eating or chewing loudly is pretty annoying.

Make a list of your fav things about being on earth?
Ok so, there are so many things I love, so I'm gunna keep it to my top 5: Nutella (yes), when the sky goes all different shades of pink, purple and orange at sunset, when you listen to a song and it makes you feel super excited inside, my family and the times when you are walking somewhere and you feel so carefree that you start to notice all the little details of a place that you never take the time to notice.
What's in your head right now?
Nutella, haha and the excitement of the week to come in the recording studio.
What 5 things define you?
hmmmm, let me think, I'd say... clothes, food, music, laughter and singing.
What five things bother you?
People have made fun of me in the past for the things that bother me, because they are a bit odd. The first one is people with small hands, it freaks me out big time. Second: the sound of people eating or chewing loudly. Third: people invading personal space when having a conversation, its just weird. Fourth: when people are fussy about food. And lastly, mosquito bites, agh! so itchy!
If you could teach any class what would it be?
Probably art, I love drawing and making things.
What did you dream of last night?
I think I dreamt of the plane journey I am going on today, I can't remember it that well.
What is your favourite thing to eat?
Sweet: Nutella. Savoury: Ratatouille.
Who are your favourite people?
My Nonna, my brothers, my boyfriend, my two best friends (one of which is called Mausi) and all the people I know called Ben.
Describe your favourite outfit
A navy shirt dress that is longer at the back with shear panels with black kurt geiger laced wedges and a gold chain. It's magical.
What was your favourite thing to do when you were young?
Experiment with my mum's perfumes in the bathroom and make potions.
What five things would you like to try in your lifetime?
Singing in front of a crowd of thousands of people who know the lyrics to one of our songs. running a marathon. Travelling the world. wearing an outfit that is worth more than my house. headlining a festival.

We're pretty certain that Mausi, the fresh-faced pop foursome from Milan via, erm, Newcastle, are going to be huge. For such a new discovery, their ever-growing arsenal of ridiculously brilliant dancefloor fillers ('Move' literally drags you into its irresistible groove) are nothing short of astonishing. So, if you're curious to hear what inspired Mausi to mash up Solange's 'Losing You' with 'Say My Name' with beautifully subtle results - well, read on. [read more]
