Blackbird Blackbird - 'Calypso'
Given the name, you'd expect the latest offering from Mikey Maramag to speak of sunnier climates; an ode to the Californian glow he's surrounded by if you will. Instead we have a darker sounding vibe, which is more akin to a ride on the Northern line than a trip to Sausalito or Santa Cruz.
Irony or not, the slow pulsations found in this track should appease most, no matter what the weather is like outside your window.
