Chart success on the horizon for fan funded Ginger record
The latest in a line of artists adopting PledgeMusic to raise funds from fans to make a record is The Wildhearts frontman, Ginger and the singer looks set to occupy the top ten of the UK album chart this Sunday. According to reports the former Wildheart’s latest album 100% was sitting at number 9 in the mid week chart after its release was funded by fans raising over £200,000.
The project is currently a whopping 487% over target with over six thousand fans already pledging, Ginger had this to say “This chart entry marks a historic change in the way bands and artists can release music direct to their fans, afford quality production values and actually make a living too.”

Player Piano, the second album from New Jersey artist Dayve Hawk aka Memory Tapes, is due out on July 4 via Something In Construction Records, they've announced.
