Morrissey

Morrissey has requested that fans don't buy any of the forthcoming box set reissues from his back catalogue. The former Smiths singer claimed in a statement issued to fan site True-to-you.net, which he often communicates through, that he wouldn't receive any money from the reissues, released on November 2, and that he was not asked for approval for their release. The Morrissey reissues will see singles and B-sides re-packaged as new seven-inch vinyl releases.

Girls

Girls (Christopher Owens and Chet JR White) forthcoming second single âLust For Lifeâ is 2 minutes 23 seconds of gloriously melodic, frazzled West Coast pop - described by the band as "honest, loose, ethereal, obnoxious and perfect". Taken from their forthcoming debut album 'Album' released on 28th September via Fantasytrashcan/Turnstile in the UK, and Matador/True Panther in the US; 'Lust For Life' precedes the album on the 7th September. 'Album' was recorded in a variety of bedrooms and rehearsal rooms across their adopted hometown of San Francisco, and produced by JR.

Volcano Choir

Volcano Choir's Unmap will be released on September 22nd on Jagjaguwar. The first single, "Island, IS" is centrally constructed around the multi-layered loops and microsecond cuts by guitarist Chris Roseanu. Justin, responsible for all of Volcano Choir's vocals, crafted consonant harmonies. Not initially concerned with lyrics, the words that came from the sounds were secondary, but ended up a tremendously meaningful stream-of-consciousness.
Unmap will be released by Jagjaguwar on September 22nd (21st in the UK), worldwide.
