Radiohead
Radiohead's Thom Yorke has revealed details of his forthcoming live broadcast, set to take place on September 21 following the global premiere of the climate change-related film 'Age Of Stupid'.
Yorke, writing on the official Radiohead website, Radiohead.com, explained that he would play the song 'Reckoner', from his band's 2007 album 'In Rainbows', following the broadcast, which is set to take place simultaneously in selected cinemas globally.
See the documentary/drama/animation film's official website, Ageofstupid.net, for details about the broadcast.
Radiohead drummer Phil Selway has announced that he is set to release a solo album.
Selway, who sings on the album, is currently in the process of recording the as-yet untitled record in his band's Oxfordshire studio.
He enlisted the services of Wilco members Glenn Kotche and Pat Sansone to play on the project, and multi-instrumentalist solo artist Lisa Germano and bass player Sebastian Steinberg have also contributed.

Lily Allen
Lily Allen is urging fellow musicians to take a stand against illegal file sharing.
Speaking on her Myspace blog, the London singer called on other musicians to help her stamp out illegal file sharing.
"I think music piracy is having a dangerous effect on British music, but some really rich and successful artists like Nick Mason from Pink Floyd and Ed O'Brien from Radiohead don't seem to think so," she wrote.

The Banshee
The Banshee release their new single "Colder" September 21st. âColderâ is a single that typifies the album from which it is taken, an album, which also happens to have featured as Tom Robinsonâs âRecord of the Yearâ (BBC 6music) on the strength of preview mp3s! There is, in point of fact, nothing âcoldâ about it. This is a wonderful piece of angular art-core pop from a band by the name of The Banshee, who have already been hotly tipped by the NME indie bible in its Radar section. Think Talking Heads, Devo, New Order, Wire, XTC or The Smiths and you would not be a million miles from the mark.
Upcoming Gigs:
21 Sep 2009 Exposè @ Old Blue Last London
22 Sep 2009 The Good Ship London
23 Sep 2009 BBC Introducing show @ Oakford Social Club, Reading
