Today's roundup includes Mimas, Madonna and Marilyn Manson and Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks
*Remember! The news roundup gets updated throughout the day, so make sure you come back later for more news!
Mimas
So, those Danish beauties (pictured above) recently finished their tour of the UK. Don't think they're gone for long though; they'll be back once again to cheer up our Autumn for October. Check out the dates below:
Fri 09 Norwich: The Arts Centre
Sat 10 Leeds: Royal Park Cellars
Sun 11 Glasgow: The Captains Rest
Mon 12 York: City Screen Breakfast Bar
Tue 13 Sheffield: TBC
Wed 14 Birmingham: The Flapper
Thur 15 Nottingham: The Chameleon Arts Cafe
Madonna
The other day we reported Madonna's bad terms with the Bulgarian Orthodox Church. Well, there's now another part of Eastern Europe having a pop at her. She received a number of boos and jeers when speaking out against discrimination of Gypsies, during a gig in Romania.
This is of course ludicrous. I can think of some far better reasons to boo and jeer at Madonna.
Marilyn Manson
As if it's not enough to attack one controversial pop star these days. At Manson's show at Panoma Fox Theatre, Los Angeles County on Tuesday night, troops of Christians showed up on a crusade to let the people know the word of the Lord.
If this is difficult for you to imagine, try thinking of the Wall's sausages company carrying out an advertisement campaign at the local synagogue.
Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks
Tickets for Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks' warmup show for Ten Years Of ATP Festival, at Camden's Electric Ballroom are now on sale. Here are the rest of their UK dates:
8th December - Brighton, Komedia
9th December - London, Electric Ballroom
10th December - Manchester, The Deaf Institute
11th December - All Tomorrow's Parties (Butlins)
PS I Love you, who destroyed us back in 2010 with the incredible Meet Me at the Muster Station, have announced they'll be releasing a new album this May.
