Almost 28 million of those songs have been shared via social networks and users spotify profiles with Facebook taking the lions share with 55.3%.
Just to prove the service's popularity in the US, Spotify claimed at the beginning of this year that they had just 3 million paying subscribers worldwide which also suggested that Spotify users spent twice as much on Spotify Premium than the average music fan spends on buying music.
