Tech News: Spotify launches iPad app & Jean Michael Jarre launches iPod docks
Tech news now, well its more iNews really with two music related stories centered round Apple devices. First up, Spotify. The Swedish music streaming service have updated their iPhone app to utilise the iPad and in particular its new retina display. The graphics have had a complete overhaul and now support the full screen mode with a higher resolution making the app high definition. The new version will also work using AirPlay so if you can finally play your Spotify playlists on the AppleTV or wireless speakers. Some other nice features are gapless playback, cross fading and the ability to set time intervals between tracks. Spotify's chief product officer Gustav Söderström said "we've spent a bunch of time building this application. The iPad is a unique device, and we wanted to build a unique application for it."
Spotify got producer/singer Labrinth to give the App the once over: "My iPad's always with me on the road so being able to access whatever music I'm feeling right at that moment - either classic or fresh tracks - and then share those with my fans is a big deal. As an artist, I love the way my music is presented so slickly. Artwork is really important to me, and in Spotify's iPad app it's like it's popping off the screen."
Next up are what we think, the sexiest looking iPod/iPad docks ever made. Electronic music legend Jean Michael Jarre’s company, Jarre Technologies, have developed this gorgeous collection of docks and we think these are first ever that really compliment, if not surpassing the look and feel of Apple products, just look at the remote, it’s just plain pornographic!
The AeroPad One and AeroPad Two come in 3 different finishes, Bamboo, White and Black and allthree are backed with Stainless steel.
