The Polaris Prize long list unveiled

by Christian K. Breedlove, 15 June 2012

At the Waldorf Hotel in Vancouver, BC, the Polaris Prize long list was announced.

The year that they take into account is from June 1st, 2011 to May 31st, 2012 and it's full of every artist and genre to come out of Canada that you can shake a musical stick at.

The full list of nominees can be seen below and the shortlist will be announced on July 17th, so stay tuned to the 405 for that list as well. It's personal opinion but my instincts tell me it'll come down to Grimes' Visions or Fucked Up's David Comes To Life but we'll see!
