Watch Old Footage of Nas Hanging A Jay-Z effigy
A new clip has surfaced online today dating back to 2002 when hip-hop was witnessing one of the biggest rap beefs to date. Taking things to another level Nas had ordered a special effects team to design a Jay-Z effigy and gallows in which he planned to use for his Hot 97 Summer Jam performance, staging a Jay-Z hanging. The stunt was subsequently stopped by producers. The two had been feuding since Jay-Z delivered his Blueprint track, 'Takeover'. This prompted Nas to respond with his 'Stillmatic' freestyle and 'Ether'. Jay-Z followed with 'Supa Ugly'.
After years of backlash and dissing Jay-Z finally ending the feud when he signed Nas in 2006 to Def Jam. [via Fact]
