    You might have heard already. If not, rejoice, indie fans, for Tom Vek is not dead, retired or rubbish - new news brought to us by Zane Lowe, of all people. He will, in fact, be releasing a new album this year and will also be previewing a new song, A Chore, on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show next Wednesday.     Johnny Marr will no longer be a part of The Cribs, both parties have announced this evening, but it's not a "band split", they stress. Marr joined the Wakefield outfit in early 2008, playing live dates together before the release of the band's fourth record Ignore the Ignorant in 2009, but will now focus on solo material.     Run by London independent label Brainlove Records, 2011's Brainlove Festival takes place at Brixton Windmill on May 28. More than 20 bands and DJs are due to play both indoor and outdoor stages at the all day event, and the first few have just been announced. Confirmed so far are: Napoleon IIIrd, Bear Driver, Mat Riviere, Patterns, Meursault and Bastardgeist.
