Los Campesinos! - Fitzgerald's, Houston 16/02/2012
By the time Los Campesinos! followed up and were delayed by sound difficulties, loyal fans packed the main stage area, which surprised and excited me because being a fan for a couple of years now, there were Texans who were fanatics of this Cardiff band! Even though I could barely understand Gareth Campesinos! in between songs, it really didn't matter. [read more]

Los Campesinos! - Hello Sadness
Los Campesinos!’s progression as a band (both musically and in terms of line-up) over the last couple of years has been rapid, something which has been encapsulated with Hello Sadness, their aptly titled fourth album. As its title might suggest, Hello Sadness is an album about sadness, about heart break and loneliness. Yes, it’s a hugely personal album – spurred on by frontman Gareth’s relationship breakup shortly before its recording – but at the same time its themes are universal. [read more]

Los Campesinos! - Shepherd's Bush Empire, London 02/02/11
Photography: Dan Smyth On the 2nd February, I headed down to Shepherd's Bush for the Los Campesinos! date of the NME Awards Show and what a wonderful show it was. First on were the critically acclaimed, Grouplove. Their set was filled with a mixture of songs from their EP as well as unknown songs. Although, there was only a small audience there at that point (7.30), this certainly didn't drag them down as their set was brimming with oodles of energy from start to finish. Grouplove extr... Constellations Festival, Leeds University, 14/11/10
Taking place in the esteemed surroundings of Leeds University, Constellations was a brand new early winter festival taking place for the first time in 2010. Far more than your usual university shindig, this festival had a carefully-crafted lineup and also heavily promoted art, film and anything else you can think of that is creative and would inspire people. It was to Constellationsâ credit that the packed crowd was a cross-section of all ages, and youâd struggle to find something that pe... [read more]

Truck Festival - Sunday 25th July 2010 // The 405 Review
The Beathive stage played its pulsating dance music long into the early hours of the morning, making sleep after the first day of Truck almost impossible. Of course, when the power was finally cut my tent neighbours first decided to all try out laughing gas and then one of them took to repeatedly asking the question: âDo you lick ice cream?â, this went on until I finally fell asleep at 3.30am. When I awoke at 6am, guess what the first words I heard were? It was quite remarkable someone co... [read more]

Los Campesinos! @ The Relentless Garage
B>Venue: The Relentless Garage Support Bands: Sparky Deathcap and Copy Haho Date: 28/10/09 Due to an unfortunate and boring incident involving trains and guest passes I arrived at The Garage for the Los Campesinos! gig late and missed 99% of Sparky Deathcapâs set so to them I apologise profusely. Los Campesinos! - These Are Listed Buildings
Label: Wichita Recordings Release date:21/10/09 Website: http://loscampesinos.com Fans who have seen the video for âThe Sea is a Good Place to Think About the Futureâ, might have assumed that Los Campesinos! were getting serious on us for their next album.
