Chilly Gonzales - 'Something About Us' (Daft Punk cover)

Chilly Gonzales has recorded a spectacularly timed cover of Daft Punk's 'Something About Us'. A regular collaborator with Feist and Peaches, the Canadian jack-of-all-trades is most famous for his experimental rap/electro records and impeccable piano work, earning him Grammy and Juno nods and performances with recent high school graduate, Drake. He's a classically trained jazz pianist, with fluid fingers and an uncanny knack for incredible melody, and he's given his lounge/Jools Holland rendition of the nu-funk Daft Punk classic 'Something About Us', best known for promoting their feature film Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem.

The timing could not be better, as the legendary French electro-dance duo have recently announced a new deal with Sony, and there have been rumours of a much-awaited record to be released sometime later this year. Watch the cover above.
