Watch the trailer to Sufjan Stevens' ballet, 'Year of the Rabbit'

This is a taster video for the ballet Year of the Rabbit which is set to music by Sufjan Stevens and choreographed by Justin Peck. The ballet itself premieres in New York on the 5th October, and this video (directed by Yoonha Park) features two dancers from the ballet performing to 'The Palm Sunday Tornado Hits Crystal Lake' from Stevens' 2006 album The Avalanche.

Year of the Rabbit isn't the first time Stevens and Peck have worked together as the piece actually serves as an extension to their 2010 project Tales of a Chinese Zodiac. The pair will introduce the video at two sold out events this weekend in the big apple where they will discuss Year of the Rabbit while dancers perform some excerpts from the ballet.
